CAPABILITIES

Starting from standard operating mode, stabilisation is individually selectable on the pan, tilt and roll axes to achieve the desired level of shot stability. The Libra now uses fully digital stabilisation and temperature correction electronics to significantly reduce axis drift to a minimal level .

The head can pan 350°, tilt 360° and roll 80° (+/- 40° from centre). Having a generous roll capability allows the Libra head to maintain a level 'in shot' horizon even when the head's 'carrier vehicle' is banking substantially - be it on ground, water or in the air. The roll axis functions automatically as pan when looking straight down by design - no need for '4th axis' adaptor plates and no compromise in stabilisation.

Pan and tilt axes have a high maximum response speed - 300°/sec - the Libra head can stabilise quickly and accurately when used in high speed applications. Automated backpan is selectable when required.
